LAKE PEND OREILLE, IDAHO

Inspired by the calm experienced in ancient forests. I positioned this home to capture views of the Selkirk range, Lake Pend Oreille and Sandpoint, while also preserving a gorgeous moss covered granite knoll.

Curated timbers, more closely resembling trees were joined together to create the structural framework of the home. The burned timbers demarking the changing landscape of the West, while also introducing a rich and sensual palette.

Balancing out our devoted craft focused approach to building, we employed building science and Passive House analyses to create a comfortable and high performance home for the modern age.
